Southpaw who pitched for four seasons as a member of the Georgia Tech bullpen....One of Tech's primary set-up men as one of the few lefties on the staff....Has good movement on all of his pitches.

2007: Promoted to Class A Vero Beach Devil Rays (Florida State League)....picked up a save 4/29 vs. Brevard County....placed on disabled list 5/24, retroactive to 5/20, due to strained ligaments in his left knee....re-activated 6/16....suffered season-ending facial injuries as a result of being hit by the barrel of a broken bat during 6/26 outing vs. Sarasota....formally placed on disabled list 7/2....released by Tampa Bay following season.

2006: Once again assigned to Class A Southwest Michigan....made a team-leading 49 appearances in relief....also posted 13 holds to rank fifth in the Midwest League....struck out four while retiring all 12 batters faced in relief 4/8 vs. Lansing....overall, struck out 85 batters in 78.1 innings of relief.

2005: Assigned to Class A Southwest Michigan (Midwest League)....Returned to Class A Hudson Valley for start of New York-Penn League season.

2004: Did not pitch until mid-March due to shoulder stiffness...gained first win of the season with a scoreless inning of relief 4/6 at Georgia State....selected in 30th round of June Draft by Tampa Bay Devil Rays and signed pro contract 6/14....assigned to Class A Hudson Valley (New York-Penn League....earned the win in his professional debut working 2.2 innings of scoreless relief to beat Jamestown 6/26....picked up his first professional save 7/3 vs. Staten Island....moved to a starting role in late August....promoted to Class A Charleston RiverDogs (South Atlantic League) 9/5 in preparation for league playoffs.

2003: Worked three innings of scoreless relief to get win vs. Rutgers 3/9....went the distance for first time in career to beat Duke in ACC Tournament 5/24 at Salem, Va....made four appearances for Yarmouth-Dennis of Cape Cod League during summer.

2002: Earned first career victory in relief 3/13 at Georgia State....worked career-long 4.1 innings as hard-luck losing pitcher 3/16 vs. Wake Forest....allowed just one hit over 3.1 scoreless innings of relief vs. top-ranked Clemson 5/4....made two appearances in the ACC Tournament (against Clemson and Florida State) and allowed one run in five innings of work....pitched for the Delaware Cows of the Great Lakes League during summer.

2001: Used primarily as left-handed set-up man making 13 appearances, all in relief....worked two scoreless innings of relief 2/23 vs. Elon....pitched five innings in relief against Atlanta Braves 3/1....also turned in scoreless appearances against Maryland, Georgia Southern, Wake Forest, Clemson, East Tennessee State, North Carolina, Duke (ACC Tournament) and Georgia (NCAA Tournament)....pitched during summer for Youngstown Express of Great Lakes League.

High School: A four-year letter-winner for coach James Gilbert at East Palestine High School....Also played first base....Named a top-10 prospect in the state of Ohio by the Buckeye Scout News....A three-time Tri-county League All-Star from 1998-2000....A first-team all-state pick as a senior....East Palestine team MVP in 1999 and 2000....Team captain as a senior....Posted a 15-1 record....Struck out 20 batters against Ursuline Irish in the 2000 district tournament....Tossed a no-hitter as a sophomore against Tri-County League rival Southern Local....Helped East Palestine to the Tri-County League championship in 1998....Participated in the Connie Mack World Series in 1999, and helped lead his team to a third place finish....Also played basketball for three years at East Palestine as a shooting guard....A honor student at East Palestine.
