2006: Released by Atlanta during Spring Training....signed free agent contract with Pittsburgh Pirates 6/6....assigned to Class AA Altoona Curve (Eastern League)....reassigned to Class A Lynchburg Hillcats (Carolina League) 6/19.
2005: Promoted to Class AA Frisco (Texas League)....re-assigned to Class A Bakersfield (California League) 5/30....traded to Atlanta Braves organization in exchange for Kevin Gryboski 7/21 and assigned to Class A Myrtle Beach (Carolina League)....released following the season.
2004: Assigned to Class A Clinton (Midwest League)....Named Minor League Pitcher of Month for April by Texas Rangers organization working 20 innings with a 1.35 ERA while striking out 32, walking just three, and allowing batters to hit only .145 against him....promoted to Class A Stockton (California League) 7/14 after striking out 105 batters in just 80 innings with Clinton....pitched for Peoria Saguaros of Arizona Fall League....named AFL Pitcher of the Week for Nov. 1-6....compiled the league's eighth-best ERA (2.63).
2003: Posted 6-5 record with 3.64 ERA in 13 starts for Kent State....Drafted by Texas Rangers in fifth round of 2003 First Year Player Draft....signed professional contract 6/11....assigned to Class A Spokane (Northwest League).
2002: Went 6-3 with a 5.37 ERA in 13 outings at Kent State....earned save in only relief appearance....also led staff with two complete games.
2001: Allowed just one run in three innings of relief in collegiate debut 2/24 vs. Elon....went distance in first collegiate start with seven-inning shutout of Oakland 2/28....worked five innings of scoreless relief to gain win 3/27 vs. Mercer....worked seven innings out of bullpen against Georgia Southern to get win 4/10....struck out season-high eight over six innings to beat East Tennessee State in only other start 5/7....named to the Dean's List for spring semester....transferred to Kent State for sophomore season Aug. 2001.
