Chipper Jones and Danny Hall visit around the batting cage prior to the game. |
The Yellow Jackets took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning with a pair of two-out base hits. Eric Patterson and Brandon Boggs led off the game with back to back singles, but the next two hitters failed to advance the runners. After a two-out walk to Clifton Remole, Mike Nickeas and Tyler Greene delivered run scoring singles to plate Patterson, Boggs and Remole.
The Braves immediately tied the score with three runs in the bottom of the first inning on an opposite field two-run homer from Chipper Jones and a solo shot by Andruw Jones.
The two teams then played scoreless baseball until the game was stopped with two outs and a runner on second base in the top of the fourth inning.
