2002: Worked a scoreless inning of relief in collegiate debut 2/16 vs. Tennessee Tech....made first career start at Georgia State 3/13....member of 25-man roster for College World Series....pitched for Keene Swamp Bats of New England Collegiate Baseball League during summer....transferred to Michigan in August.

High School: A four-year letterwinner for coaches Bart Badali and Brent Makay at Upper Canada College....Went 6-1 with a 1.33 ERA and 40 strikeouts against just five walks as a senior....Posted a 10-2 record last summer with his Connie Mack World Series team, the Ontario Blue Jays....Also lettered in volleyball and soccer....Led Upper Canada to second place TDCAA finishes in 2000 and 2001....Named to the GTA All-Star team by the Toronto Star.

Personal: Drew Wesley Taylor....Born Aug. 2, 1982....Son of Ronald and Rona Taylor....Father, Ron, is a member of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame after spending 11 years in the Major Leagues with the Indians, Cardinals, Astros, Mets and Padres, appearing in 491 games as a pitcher....Ron went 9-4 with a 2.72 ERA and a team-leading 13 saves for the 1969 World Champion "Miracle Mets" and also pitched on the Cardinals 1964 World Championship team....Father is currently a team physician for the Toronto Blue Jays....Majored in Biology at Tech and hopes to pursue a career in medicine.
