Powerful right hander who turned in a solid freshman campaign....Features an above-average fastball that tops 90 miles per hour and one of the better curve balls on the team.

2007: Began season in extended Spring Training....joined Class A Delmarva Shorebirds (South Atlantic League) 5/1.

2006: Made season debut with two scoreless innings in relief for Class A Delmarva 6/15....reassigned to Aberdeen and made opening night start for Ironbirds 6/20 at Hudson Valley....struck out 12 batters in seven inning effort vs. Hudson Valley 7/6....Returned to Delmarva 7/15.

2005: Started campaign in Extended Spring Training....assigned to Class A Bluefield Orioles to begin Appalachian League season....earned first professional win 7/14 at Bristol....promoted to Class A Aberdeen Ironbirds (New York-Penn League) 8/27....moved up to Class A Delmarva Shorebirds 9/2.

2004: Posted 8-5 record with 4.07 ERA for University of South Florida....selected by Baltimore Orioles in the 14th round of June Draft....spent summer with Bourne Braves of Cape Cod League....signed professional contract with Orioles 8/15.

2003: Worked five innings to get win vs. Armstrong State 2/23 at Savannah....began start against Atlanta Braves by fanning Rafael Furcal on three straight called strikes....saw only limited duty over remainder of season due to soreness in bicep....once again joined Bourne Braves of Cape Cod League for the summer....named Cape Cod League Pitcher of the Week for June 30-July 6 after striking out 14 batters during three-hit shutout of Hyannis 7/1....struck out all three batters he faced as starting pitcher for the West during Cape Cod League All-Star Game at Falmouth, Mass 7/26....transferred to University of South Florida in August, 2003.

2002: Struck out nine in five innings of work as starter to gain first collegiate win 3/20 vs. Eastern Kentucky....allowed just three hits over seven innings while walking none and striking out five in victory over Georgia 3/27....was not involved in the decision despite striking out 10 and allowing just six hits and no walks over eight innings of shutout ball vs. Georgia Southern 4/2....worked eight shutout innings while striking out nine to beat Duke in ACC Tournament start 5/23 at St. Petersburg, Fla....worked scoreless inning in relief during College World Series outing against South Carolina 6/18....pitched for Bourne Braves of Cape Cod Baseball League during summer.

High School: Played for coach Tom Hilbert at Dunedin High School as a senior....Missed most of 2001 campaign after breaking left arm in Feb. 22 automobile accident....Lettered as a pitcher and designated hitter....Also attended Palm Harbor High School and Tarpon Springs High School....An all-Pinellas County honoree as a sophomore and junior....Participated in the Area Code Games in 2000....Honor Roll student....Rated as the No. 55 high school prospect in the nation by Baseball America....29th round draft pick of the Baltimore Orioles (863rd pick overall).
