Smooth-hitting and fielding first baseman who assumed a starting role in 2003 after platooning as freshman....Solid hitter with good power potential....Named to Baseball America's "Gold Glove" team as the nation's best defensive first baseman.

2008: Once again assigned to Class A Rancho Cucamonga to begin season....promoted to Class AA Arkansas (Texas League) 4/14....returned to Rancho Cucamonga 6/7....released 6/27.

2007: Began season on the disabled list....activated by Class A Rancho Cucamonga 5/8....caught fire at the beginning of July going 22-for-45 (.489) from 7/1 to 7/12....drove in at least one run in six straight games 7/3 to 7/8....had at least two hits in seven straight games 7/5 to 7/12....overall, hit .398 with four homers, 26 RBI and a 1.010 OPS in 29 games during July....endured 1-for-23 slump from 8/16 to 8/22....for the season, batted .333 at home but just .241 on the road.

2006: Returned to Class A Rancho Cucamonga....called up to Class AAA Salt Lake temporarily on 6/30....returned to Rancho Cucamonga 7/10.

2005: Promoted to Class A Cedar Rapids (Midwest League)....went 4-for-5 in season opener 4/7 vs. Kane County....placed on disabled list 4/23 (right oblique strain)....Re-assigned to Extended Spring Training for rehabilitation 5/21....Moved up to Class A Rancho Cucamonga (California League) 6/14.

2004: Second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection while splitting time between first base and right field following injury to Jeremy Slayden....went 5-for-5 with three RBI vs. Miami 4/4....added three more hits along with career-best six RBI in next outing 4/6 at Georgia State....hit safely in first nine games of season....named ACC Player of the Week for May 10-16 after going 9-for-15 with six RBI to lead Tech to a 4-0 record in games against Clemson and Georgia....had season-high 12-game hitting streak from 5/9 to 5/28....delivered three-run double in 13th inning of Tech's ACC Tournament victory over Clemson 5/27....named to ACC All-Tournament team....named to NCAA Atlanta Regional all-tournament team after going 7-for-14 with a home run and four RBI in three games....signed professional contract after being selected in 11th round by Anaheim Angels....homered in debut with Class A Provo Angels (Pioneer League) 6/20....went 7-for-14 during three-game playoff series vs. Idaho Falls....overall, hit safely in all five post-season games (10-for-22) to help Provo to Pioneer League championship.

2003: Boosted batting average 40 points from previous season....Led the team with a .417 on base percentage and 36 walks while ranking second on the team with a .323 average, third with 14 doubles, and fourth in both runs (47) and hits (71)....went 5-for-6 during three-game sweep of George Washington....compiled 16-game hitting streak from 3/16 to 4/15 during which he had 24 hits, 16 RBI, and 12 runs scored....named to ACC All-Tournament team after hitting .364 and driving in eight runs....also earned a spot on the NCAA Atlanta Regional All-Tournament team after going 3-for-8 with two home runs and five RBI in two games....spent summer playing for Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League batting .238 with three home runs, six doubles and 12 RBI.

2002: Earned regular playing time as a freshman at first baseman and as designated hitter....homered in collegiate debut 2/9 at Georgia Southern....hit safely in 14 of first 15 games, including 12 game hitting streak 2/16 to 3/15....also contributed game winning sacrifice fly in bottom of 10th inning 3/5 vs. East Tennessee State....drove in winning run in bottom of 10th inning vs. Georgia 5/14....went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored in Super Regional victory over Florida Atlantic 6/7.

High School: A four-year letter-winner for coach Donnie English at Osborne High School....Saw action at first base and the outfield while also pitching....Tossed a no-hitter as a sophomore....Set an Osborne school record with a .470 batting average as a junior....A two-time all-state honoree in baseball....Played for the East Cobb Yankees summer baseball program that captured the 1999 AAU World Series Championship at Jacobs Field in Cleveland, Ohio as well as 2001 Connie Mack World Series title....Also lettered two years for coach Eddie Fincher as a guard in basketball at Osborne.
