Smooth fielder who played key role defensively during 2003 season....scheduled to graduate in December 2003.

2003: Hit second career home run 3/7 vs. Rutgers.

2002: Saw action in 32 games at shortstop, second base and third base, including seven starts at various points during the season....Often used as a late inning defensive replacement or a pinch runner....Hit .294 for the season, collecting 10 hits in 34 at bats, and scored 10 runs....Delivered triple and RBI vs. Tennessee Tech 2/16.....Had a hit, walk, and run scored in Tech’s 13-9 victory over EKU 3/20....Scored twice on two hits in Tech’s 10-4 win over Auburn 4/16.

2001: Red-shirted....played for Durham Braves of Coastal Plain League during summer.

2000: Saw duty off bench as middle infielder as well as in center field....drove in two runs vs. UConn 3/12....hit first collegiate home run vs. Stetson 5/20 in NCAA Atlanta Regional....spent summer with Stark County Terriers of Great Lakes League.

High School: Team MVP in 1998 and best defensive player in 1997 and 1998 at Chattahoochee High School, where he was a teammate of former Tech star Heath Honeycutt....Set school records as a senior with nine home runs, 35 RBI, 42 runs scored and 26 steals while hitting .367....Finished his career with school records for home runs (15), RBI (62), runs scored (81) and doubles (26)....Hit .385 with five home runs and 21 RBI as a junior....Lettered three years for coach Tim Lemons, serving as team captain as a senior....Hit .389 with 17 HR, 68 RBI and 24 SB during the summer of 1999 for the East Cobb Yankees, which reached the Connie Mack World Series.

Personal: James Davis Myers....Born July 9, 1980....Son of Dan and Debbie Myers....His father, Danny, was a quarterback on Tech's football teams of 1973-75 and played one season with the St. Louis Cardinals of the NFL; still holds Tech season and career records for rushing yards by a quarterback....Majoring in management.
