Outfielder with good power and speed who enjoyed success in a part-time role as a freshman....Has a short, quick batting stroke....Has worked on his outfield play and throwing, and has improved in both of those areas since coming to Tech....Sixth round draft choice out of high school by the Boston Red Sox.

2002: Sat out season as a red-shirt....enrolled at East Carolina, Aug. 2002.

2001: Saw duty in 30 games as reserve outfielder....hit only home run of the season 3/10 vs. N.C. State....posted first four-hit game vs. N.C. State 3/11, however went just 5-for-40 the rest of the campaign....did not play in either ACC Tournament or NCAA Regional....named to the Dean's List for spring semester....played for Front Royal Cardinals of Valley League during summer.

2000: Reserve outfielder who also found his way into the Tech lineup as the designated hitter....Started five games in left field and made seven starts as the DH....Homered and drove in three runs against Oakland on Feb. 21....Collected two hits against Oakland on 2/21, Connecticut on 3/12, and Eastern Kentucky 3/22....Spent the summer playing with the Hyannis Mets in the Cape Cod League....Went 3-for-6 (.500), with two runs and one RBI during NCAA Tournament.

High School: Two-time all-state performer at Baldwin High School in Pittsburgh....Earned all-conference honors as a freshman and all-regional honors as a sophomore....Hit .529 with 10 home runs and 45 RBI as a senior, also stealing 20 bases in 21 attempts and scoring 40 runs....Hit .472 with five home runs and 31 RBI in 18 games as a junior....Lettered four years for coach Dan Caponi....Also lettered as a freshman and sophomore in football and basketball....High honor student.
