Impressive looking freshman hurler who turned in a very solid fall 2001 practice....Boasts an above average fastball and a very good curve ball....Has a smooth delivery....Rated as the No. 73 high school prospect in the nation in 2001 by Baseball America.

2008: Began the season on the disabled list. Released by Red Sox in August.

2007: Assigned to Class A Lancaster (California League)....placed on 7-day disabled list following 7/4 relief appearance and did not pitch for the remainder of the season.

2006: Returned to Greenville to begin first full season as a pro....promoted to Class A Wilmington 6/14....moved up to Class AAA Pawtucket 6/20 for spot start....returned to Wilmington 6/22.

2005: Posted 10-4 record and 3.73 ERA in 18 starts for Arizona....Signed professional contract after being selected in 10th round of June Draft by Boston Red Sox....assigned to Class A Lowell Spinners (NY-Penn League)....promoted to Class A Greenville (South Atlantic League) 7/16.

2004: Went 6-8 with 83 strikeouts and a 6.45 ERA in 118.2 innings pitched for Arizona....Tied Arizonaís single season record for games started (22)....Started for Arizona against Georgia in College World Series.

2003: Went 3-3 with 4.80 ERA in 16 appearances (six starts) as a red-shirt freshman for Arizona....again spent summer pitching for Wareham going 3-2 in eight starts with a 3.21 ERA as well as 25 strikeouts in 47.2 innings pitched.

2002 at Tech: Made just three appearances in relief before being red-shirted due to injury....pitched for Cape Cod League champion Wareham Gatemen during summer....tied for second in Cape League with five victories....named to West squad for Cape Cod League All-Star Game 7/27 at Harwich, Mass. and struck out one batter during a 1-2-3 inning in relief....turned in complete game victory vs. Orleans 8/11 in Game 1 of Cape Cod League championship series....ACC Scholar Athlete Award recipient....Deanís List member....enrolled at University of Arizona in August 2002 after father was diagnosed with cancer.

High School: A four-year letter-winner for coach Jerry Dawson as a pitcher and outfielder at Chaparral High School....Led Chaparral to back-to-back Arizona State Championships in 1999 and 2000....Rated as the top prospect in Arizona by the Perfect Game....A first-team all-State selection as a junior and senior by the Arizona Republic....Named the Arizona Republic Pitcher of the Year in 2001....Posted an 8-0 record and a 1.00 ERA as a senior....Was the winning pitcher in the 2000 state championship game.

Personal: Kevin Donald Guyette....Born December 3, 1982....Son of Robert and Regina Guyette....Father was a starting forward and Academic All-America on Kentucky's basketball team that lost in the 1975 NCAA Championship game to John Wooden's final UCLA championship club....Majored in Management.
