2008: Named to Louisville Slugger's Freshmen All-American team....also named National Freshman Hitter of the Year by NCBWA....second-team All-ACC selection....started every game at shortstop for the Jackets....led squad with 66 RBI while hitting .332 with 14 home runs and 16 doubles....belted first collegiate home run 3/4 vs. Western Carolina (audio)....named ACC Player of the Week for April 28 to May 4.

High School: Two-way standout as SS/3B and closer at St. Ignatius High School....honorable mention selection to the 2006 and 2007 Louisville Slugger All-American Teams....named Gatorade Player of the Year and Louisville Slugger/BCA Player of the Year for the state of Ohio as a senior in 2007 while batting .421 with eight home runs, 39 RBI and 10 stolen bases to lead St. Ignatius to Final Four of Division I state tournament....went 1-for-4 with a double while playing 3B for the East in the nationally televised fourth annual Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic 8/12/2006 at Tony Gwynn Stadium in San Diego....hit .434 with 14 doubles, four home runs, 30 runs, 33 RBI and .842 slugging percentage while earning two wins and five saves on the mound as a junior....as a sophomore, hit .494 with five home runs and 31 RBI and recorded one win and four saves....played for varsity squad as a freshman in 2004 and posted .352 average.
