10-RUN NINTH LIFTS CLEMSON TO ACC TITLE GAME

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Clemson scored ten runs in the top of the ninth to break open a 6-6 tie as the Tigers advanced to the ACC championship game with a 16-11 victory over Tech in Jacksonville. Luke Murton tied a single-game tournament and school records by homering three times, including a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth, while driving in seven of the Jackets' runs.

Murton homered in each of his last three at-bats, all after midnight in a game which did not begin until 10:29 p.m. The freshman first baseman led off the seventh inning with a solo home run and tied the game at 6-6 in the bottom of the eighth with a two-run shot.

Clemson will play NC State for the ACC title on Sunday afternoon.
