- The early signing period for recruits who will enroll at Tech in August of 2009 is underway and continues through Nov. 19. RHP Ben McKinney was the first prospect to sign a letter of intent to play for the Jackets beginning in 2010. See current list of signees.

- Just Added: Terry's photos from the Alumni softball game.
- Due to a scheduling conflict, Fenway Park will be unable to host the 2009 ACC Baseball Championships. The event is now scheduled to be played in Boston in 2010. Durham Bulls Athletic Park is the new venue for the 2009 Championships.
- Summer of 2009: Brandon Cumpton and Jeff Rowland will play for Cotuit of the Cape Cod League. Zach Brewster, Cole Leonida and Derek Dietrich has signed on with the Wareham Gatemen.
- RHP Deck McGuire has been named the top prospect for the Coastal Plain League. Jeff Rowland and Patrick Long are among the Top 10 prospects for the Cal Ripken Sr. League.
- Charlie Blackmon, Brad Feltes, Jason Haniger and Tony Plagman have been named to the 2008 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned at least a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained at least a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
