2008: Emerged as regular rightfielder for the Jackets earning second team All-ACC honors along with an Academic All-America second team selection along a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District III first team....hit safely in final 12 games of the season....selected in the 2nd round of the June Draft by the Colorado Rockies and signed a professional contract with a bonus of $563,000 on 6/8....assigned to Tri-City Dust Devils (Northwest League) to begin pro career....named to Northwest League Postseason All-Star Team.....broke the Rockies' short-season record for hits in a single season with 98 and finished the year on a 23-game hit streak....overall, led Tri-City with .338 batting average and 42 runs scored....named to Topps Short-Season/Rookie All-Star Team....ranked as Colorado's No. 10 prospect by Baseball America.

2007: Obtained medical redshirt (tendinitis in his throwing arm) after appearing in only one game, a Feb. 16 relief outing against Illinois-Chicago....pitched and played in the outfield for the Colleyville LoneStars of Texas Collegiate League during summer....led Colleyville with .316 batting average while seeing regular duty as OF/DH....also went 2-1 over eight appearances during summer....Member of the 2007 ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Junior College: Posted a 7-1 record in 14 appearances in 2005 at Young Harris, striking out 49 batters in 44.2 innings....Recorded eight wins and 89 strikeouts while posting a 3.39 ERA in 2006, and concluded his career with 138 K in 127 innings pitched....Helped the Mountain Lions to back-to-back GJCAA State Championships in 2005 and 2006....Named MVP of the conference tournament in 2005 and named first-team All-Georgia Junior College Athletic Association in 2006 as a pitcher....Selected in the 20th round of the 2005 MLB draft by the Boston Red Sox....A Dean's List student at Young Harris College.
